Overview
machel.ng is the digital home of Machel Corporations LTD, a chauffeur-driven car rental company serving Abuja, Lagos and Port Harcourt. Zirostack designed and built the platform end to end: a fast, conversion-focused public website and a purpose-built admin system that lets the Machel team run their fleet, content and lead pipeline without touching a line of code.
The public site is a full booking funnel — a filterable fleet marketplace, rich vehicle pages with photo galleries, specs, transparent daily/weekly/monthly pricing and FAQs, dedicated service pages for airport transfers, chauffeur hire and corporate transport, city landing pages built for local search, and a blog that keeps the brand publishing. Every page is a complete, SEO-friendly document with clean URLs and structured metadata.
Bookings meet Nigerian customers where they actually transact: WhatsApp. Every enquiry form saves the lead to the database first, then hands the customer over to a prefilled WhatsApp conversation with the Machel team — so no lead is ever lost, even if the chat never opens.
The problem
Before the rebuild, bookings lived in phone calls and social media DMs — no central record, no follow-up trail, and no way to know which enquiries were ever answered. The fleet was advertised ad hoc, vehicle availability and pricing weren't documented anywhere customers could self-serve, and the business was invisible for high-intent searches like “car rental in Abuja”.
Machel needed the credibility of a polished brand presence, a catalogue the team could manage themselves, and a booking flow that captured every lead — without adding operational overhead or expensive infrastructure.
Process
We started with a design system — Machel's navy and gold, the Outfit typeface, and a reusable component library covering cards, price tables, accordions, steps and stat counters — then built all 21 screens as static UI before a single line of backend code. That kept design decisions fast and the client involved early.
The backend is deliberately lean: plain PHP with PDO and MySQL, no frameworks and no build step, so the platform runs fast on affordable shared hosting and any developer can maintain it. Security is treated as a feature — prepared statements throughout, CSRF tokens on every form, hashed passwords, honeypot and rate-limit protection on public forms, and validated, non-executable image uploads.
The booking pipeline saves each enquiry to the database, then generates a wa.me deep link prefilled with the customer's request and opens WhatsApp — with a no-JavaScript fallback. The admin panel ships with an onboarding wizard, a live dashboard, an enquiry inbox with status tracking and one-click WhatsApp replies, vehicle CRUD with multi-image upload, plus modules for categories, blog posts, reviews, FAQs, team, service and city pages, redirects and site settings.
Impact
Machel now runs its entire rental operation from one dashboard. The team can publish a new vehicle with a full photo gallery in minutes, update pricing instantly, answer enquiries from a single inbox and reply on WhatsApp in one tap — no developer required for day-to-day operations.
The platform ships 16+ indexable marketing pages with a dynamic sitemap, per-page metadata and city landing pages targeting local search — the foundations for organic growth in every market Machel serves. And because the stack is dependency-free, pages load fast, hosting stays cheap, and the codebase will still be easy to maintain years from now.
